Yorkshire (YY)
Danish Yorkshire is a strong purebreed pig with good daily weight gain, low feed conversion ratio, a high lean meat percentage, good longevity and good mothering capabilities. It is muscular and has characteristic upright ears. Yorkshire sows have very high fertility, good teats, high life expectancy and are very friendly.
(LY)
Hybrid females (F1) have either Landrace or Yorkshire as mother and father.
F1 females combine the high fertility and excellent mothering abilities of the Landrace and the robustness and quality of Yorkshire.
F1 females are very fertile and have good teat lines.
The piglets are ready to be sold at 6 weeks. However, we are happy to comply your wishes, when possible.
